Who We Are
We are a group of AUB students who decided to launch LenSide . LenSide is a website that spreads awareness about the dangers air pollution imposes on our health while also providing you with an “import your own image” submission that allows you to upload any image of the sky to be analysed for air quality.
Are you planning on going for a walk outside and wondering if the air quality is good enough, or what particles and molecules are present in the air? Grab your phone, take a picture, and upload it on our website to be analysed within a few minutes. You even have the option of analysing it yourself by following our guidelines.
Or are you planning on going to watch the sunset with friends and are curious to know what compounds are present at high concentrations in the atmosphere? LenSide has you covered, letting you know if the air quality is up to your standards
Our Goal
Here at LenSide, we want to be the catalysts for positive change by not only spreading awareness about air pollution, but at the same time providing each and every person with an easy and quick solution that can better them. We aim to teach the ability of analysing air quality just by taking a picture of the sky, through interpreting the clarity/ visibility of the image and any colours present in the sky. We also aim to show how such parameters indicate the concentration of harmful particles and molecules present in the air. Finally, we ensure that our website is accessible and free of charge to anyone and everyone, to impact every and as many Lebanese people as possible.
